With just about a month until the Virginia Film Festival, organizers are announcing the event’s headliners.

On Tuesday, October 2, at Charlottesville's Jefferson Theater, organizers announced that "Green Book," "The Favourite," and "Roma" will be the centerpiece films at the festival.

The special guest list includes Ben Mankiewicz, Allen Hughes, and Peter Bogdanovich.

“We screen about 150-plus films during the Virginia Film Festival, so the idea is to be able to program a wide array of films and give the community an opportunity to engage in a number of different ways,” Jody Kielbasa, the director of the Virginia Film Festival, said.

The film festival will also have a screening of "Charlottesville," a documentary about the violent events on August 12, 2017.

The festival will run from November 1-4.
