UVA Police Investigate Reported Robbery on The Corner

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -

Police at the University of Virginia are now investigating a reported robbery on The Corner.

According to a warning sent out by the University, two men approached a male victim in the 14-hundred block of University Avenue around 7 o'clock last night.

Reportedly, one man physically attacked the victim and flashed a firearm in his waistband.

Anyone with information should call police.

Reported Offense: A robbery was reported to University Police on September 26, 2018 at 7:46 PM. The reported incident occurred on September 26, 2018 at 7:00 PM, at 1400 University Avenue.

A male victim reported that he was approached by two suspects.  One of the suspects physically attacked the victim and flashed a firearm in his waistband.  The subjects fled in an unknown direction. 

Appearance of suspect is reported to be:

Race:Black or African American

Sex:Male

Height:6'0

Weight:Unknown

Hair Color:Unknown

Eye Color:Unknown

Age:Unknown

Additional Description:One suspect was described as wearing a black hoodie and had a short beard. The second suspect was described as wearing a black T-shirt.
