Community members celebrated the best of what Charlottesville has to offer on Friday night at the annual Best of Charlottesville Party.

The party is hosted by C-Ville Weekly to celebrate the best people, personalities, and businesses in the area. Ticket proceeds from the event benefit Big Brothers Big Sister of the Central Blue Ridge.

Organizers of the event said planning this year’s party was different than previous years.

“Last year, we had our party literally six days after August 12, and that was really hard for us,” said C-Ville Weekly publisher Aimee Atteberry. “It didn’t feel good, it didn’t feel right and this year, our theme is love and it’s all about what to love about Charlottesville and the best about what Charlottesville is.”

NBC29’s weatherman Josh Fitzpatrick was voted best TV personality, while runner-up Norm Sprouse (meteorologist) and honorable mention Kasey Hott (anchor) also work for NBC29.
