ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) -

The future of the arts at Western Albemarle High School and its feeder schools is bright thanks to a substantial check.

Arts in Western Education presented a check for $13,600 to Darah Bonham, Western Albemarle’s principal, between the first and second quarters of the high school’s football game on Friday, August 24.

The money will benefit students involved in art, music, and theater at Western, Henley Middle School, and the elementary schools that feed into them.
