Kids in Charlottesville are gearing up for the fast-approaching school year ahead.
The Cherry Avenue Boys and Girls Club hosted a back-to-school barbecue on Thursday, August 9.
The event featured a free dinner, as well as karaoke and a cheer squad performance.
Students also received a free backpack stuffed with school supplies courtesy of Backpack Buddies of Central Virginia.
Families were also invited to enroll at the club for the upcoming school year.
