Staunton Braves Rally to Beat Tom Sox 3-1 in 11 Innings

The Staunton Braves rallied from a late 1-0 deficit Tuesday night against the Tom Sox scoring a run in the ninth inning to tie the game, then scored two runs in the 11th inning to win 3-1.

Tom Sox starting pitcher Jared Wetherbee pitched a season-high five innings and struck out nine batters while only giving up one hit.

Charlottesville falls to 16-12 on the season, one game out of first place in the VBL South Division.   Staunton improves to 14-13.

The Tom Sox play at Strasburg Wednesday night.
