Tom Sox Beat Front Royal 17-0 to Split Doubleheader

The Charlottesville Tom Sox bounced back from a 6-2 loss to Front Royal Monday evening, winning the second game of the doubleheader 17-0.

The 17 runs are tied for the most runs the Tom Sox have scored at Cville Weekly ballpark in their four year history.   Brent Centracchio hit his first home run of the season.

The Tom Sox improve to 16-11 and are a half game out of first place in the Valley Baseball League's south division behind Covington.

Charlottesville plays host to Staunton Tuesday night.
