CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -

Taylor Ratliff shot a 69 in the second round of the 31st Annual City Golf Championship and leads by two strokes heading into the final round of play.

Ryan Muthiora entered the day as the leader but shot a 73 in round two but still remains in contention as he sits in second place.

The Tandem Friends graduate was five-over after the first ten holes in the second round.

"I kind of rallied. I made three birdies and an eagle to get it back to even for the day," says Muthiora. "Then I kind of just stumbled in with a double-bogie on 17. The little run of birdies and the eagle on the back nine, helped me to keep myself close. I should be able to make a run tomorrow and get myself in contention on the back nine."

Steve Demasters is in third place at -1 after shooting a 73.

Defending champion A.J. Stouffer sits in fourth place at +2.

Jeff Toms and Bradford Chandler are tied for fifth place at +3.

Ratliff, Muthiora and DeMasters are in the final group.

They tee off from the Meadow Creek Golf Club at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
