Fire Destroys Garage, Cars on Old Turnpike Road

AFTON, Va. (WVIR) -

An investigation is underway following a fire in Afton that destroyed a garage and some cars Wednesday night.

Crews were dispatched to the 9000 block of Old Turnpike Road Wednesday, July 4.

According to authorities, there are no injuries and one dog was safely rescued.

The Crozet Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by units from Ivy, Monticello, and Seminole Trail as well as North Garden and the Western Albemarle Rescue Squad.
