Augusta Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield have reached an agreement after a six month stalemate.

The health center and the insurance company could not come to an agreement to renew their contract on January 1.

Augusta Health says after months of negotiating, it is happy the patients who were impacted by the loss of coverage can get back to their normal physicians.

Augusta Health Vice President & Chief Financial Officer John Katsianis said, "In many times, they've had relationships with these physicians for a number of years and that was disrupted as part of the impasse with anthem. And that impasse is now resolved."

The agreement reached will last four years and coverage for patients with anthem will be reinstated July 1.
