Are you taking a vacation soon to the Keys? Beware of the crocodile strolling around the area.
An Upper Keys deputy snapped pictures of a crocodile on Key Largo at the Largo and Vaca roads area near Mile Marker 106 Wednesday morning.
The area where the crocodile was spotted is near the Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge, meaning that sightings in the area are not uncommon.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office did notify Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, but by the time an officer arrived, the animal was gone.
According to FWC reports, the crocodile population is on the rise.
