(WESH) - Over the weekend, two Toronto police officers raided a marijuana dispensary and, in the process, allegedly got so high they had to call in backup, the CBC reports. They’ve both been suspended.
The officers reportedly ingested edibles at the Community Cannabis Clinic and began “[hallucinating].” They called their precinct asking for assistance and were found in their vehicle when backup arrived. Both were eventually treated at a local hospital.
According to NEWSTALK 1010, the edibles allegedly eaten were meant to be taken from the scene as evidence, but instead, the officers continued to eat through a batch of them until they finally felt the effects and had to call for help.
