Orlando hospital 'magically' repairs amputated Elf on the Shelf

Posted: Updated:

Sometimes even Santa's helpers need assistance.

We'll give a bit of a spoiler for this story in case children are watching.

The Elf on the Shelf is fine - perfectly, absolutely, 100 percent fine.

And he still has all of his magic because everyone who touched him, including the people at Orlando's Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital, worked to help him.

Zoey, a German shepherd, decided that Sam the elf, who wasn't high enough on the shelf, looked good enough to eat.

So Zoey gave it a try and ended up biting off Sam's arm.

Cue the screaming seven-year-old girl, whose mom happens to work in the hospital's ER.

Mom made sure everyone used "magic" gloves on Sam, and for good measure, they sprinkled Christmas magic on him when they were done.

Rumor has it, Zoey is on the naughty list this year.
