Good boy, bad rep; Why is Jack banned from Maryland?

A Siberian Husky's troubled past has the internet in a frenzy.

Meet Jack.

Jack is a good boy with a bad rep up for adoption through Delaware Valley Siberian Huskey Rescue, Inc.

The organization's website describes Jack as "a very sweet affectionate boy." Furthermore, he's house trained, does well with other dogs, and knows several commands. So, what's not to like?

Well, his bio also says, "Unfortunately, due to some mischief that Jack got into when he was younger, he cannot legally be adopted or reside in the state of Maryland."

My goodness! What could Jack have possibly done to be banned from an entire state?! Is it possible that Jack is a... Bad boy?

Twitter user @historiancole made the discovery, took screenshots, and posted them. Then, theories of Jack's past came pouring in.

"Unpaid barking tickets," "The Siberian Pawfia," and "a series of pet shop robberies during his two years on the lam," are just a few theories Twitter users have come up with.

Regardless, Jack is still up for adoption, and the rescue foundation says it will disclose details to applicants who have been approved for adoption.
