A ski resort got a lift from Mother Nature by opening a day early.

The people at Wyoming's Jackson Hole Mountain Resort credit a historic early season snowfall for their decision to open some slopes.

They were scheduled to open Saturday but instead opened Friday.

Skiers and snowboarders took full advantages of the Black Friday gift.

Upper elevations of northwestern Wyoming report 100 inches of snowfall with more on the way.
