Posted: Updated:

A heartwarming moment in the checkout line at a Walmart shared on Facebook has touched thousands.

An older man had his items scanned and was given a total by the cashier.

He began to pull out handfuls of change and started counting it. He then miscounted it and began to get frustrated and apologized to both the clerk and the customer waiting behind him.

The cashier then held his hands and said, "This is not a problem, honey. We will do this together," and began to count the change with him.

Still, the man apologized to both the cashier and customer behind him for inconveniencing them. They both told him that it's OK.

Once the change was counted, he was cashed out and left.

That customer behind him walked up with her items and said to the cashier, "Thank you for being so patient with him."

The cashier the replied, "You shouldn't have to thank me, baby. What's wrong with our world is we've forgotten how to love one another."
