NFL player loses newborn son prior to Sunday’s gamePosted: Updated:
OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin caught an 83-yard touchdown pass in Sunday’s 31-21 win over the New York Giants.
It’s the biggest play of the 49ers season and helped the team land their first win. Goodwin did it with a heavy heart.
He blew a kiss to the sky as he crossed the goal line and then dropped to his knees in the end zone.
At the time, no one knew the tragic pain he and his wife, Morgan, endured during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The two lost their baby boy around 4 a.m. after complications forced a premature birth.
