Charlottesville Man Facing 'Peeping Tom' Related Charges

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -
A Charlottesville man is accused of masturbating in public, as well as other charges.
Charlottesville police say they received a call of a man touching himself in public in the 1800 block of Jefferson Park Avenue just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, January 4.
Police arrested 55-year-old Richard V. Curnish, who officers say they have linked to another peeping tom incident that was reported in the same area on Friday, December 30.
Curnish is charged with indecent exposure, actual or simulated masturbation in public, and peeping in to an occupied dwelling. He is being held at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail.

On 01/04/2017 at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers with the Charlottesville Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Jefferson Park Ave for a report a male subject masturbating in public.
Upon arrival officers detained Richard V. Curnish (W/M; 55 years of age; resident of Charlottesville). Through their investigation, officers obtained warrants for Curnish and he was taken in to custody.
Curnish was also identified as being the suspect from a previous Peeping Tom incident that occurred on 12/30/2016 in the 1800 block of Jefferson Park Avenue.
Curnish was charged with indecent exposure (Va Code 18.2-387); actual or simulated masturbation in public (Va Code 18.2-387.1) and peeping in to an occupied dwelling (Va Code 18.2-130). Curnish is currently being held at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail.
