RICHMOND, Va. (WVIR) -

Virginia’s governor thinks the Clintons are through with political life.

Governor Terry McAuliffe was asked during a monthly radio show Wednesday how Bill and Hillary Clinton are doing.

"It's hard, very tough. I think on Election Day everybody felt pretty good," McAuliffe said.

Right after Clinton lost the election, the Democratic governor told NBC29 former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would likely take some much-needed time off.

McAuliffe now thinks she's done running for office. “I don't think Hillary has any interest in running again. I'll let her speak for herself. I haven't asked her that," he said during WTOP's radio interview.
