CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -

The #7 Virginia men's basketball team beat Providence 63-52 to win the Emerald Coast Classic tournament championship on Saturday in Niceville, Florida.

Senior point guard London Perrantes had 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in the final, and was named tournament MVP.

The Cavaliers won their fourth consecutive regular-season tournament championship with the win (Corpus Christi, Barclays Center, Charleston and Emerald Coast).

Mamadi Diakite had a career-high 10 points and three blocked shots.

The freshman from the Blue Ridge School has two or more blocked shots in each of the last four games.

Darius Thompson had 11 points, and the junior guard has scored in double figures in five of six games this year.

Virginia (6-0) will host Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday at 9 PM at John Paul Jones Arena.
