RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe has announced a new partnership with the Australian state of Victoria to share resources and information related to cybersecurity.
McAuliffe's office announced the memorandum of understanding Monday, as he continues a 10-day trade and marketing mission to Asia and Australia.
The governor's office said the agreement would also allow both governments to share ideas on the best way to grow skilled workforce, promote entrepreneurship and other areas.
McAuliffe has made expanding Virginia's cybersecurity industry a key priority. Virginia is home to the Pentagon, the CIA and various other defense-related agencies.
