Harrisonburg Police Arrest 1 In Homicide Investigation

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WVIR) -

 Press Release from Harrisonburg Police Department 11/20/2016:

Harrisonburg, VA – The Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD), continues to investigate the homicide that occurred in the 800 block of Port Republic Road on November 18.

One male suspect, identified as Seneca Lee Graham, 26, of Harrisonburg, was taken into custody shortly after officers arrived and was transported by Air Care to the UVA Medical Center for injuries from the altercation.

Graham has been charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony. The custody of Graham has since been transferred to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s office. He still remains at UVA Medical Center.

Press Release from Harrisonburg Police Department 11/19/2016:

Harrisonburg, VA – On November 18 at approximately 9:07 p.m., officers with the Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD) responded to the Deer Run Apartment Complex in the 800 block of Port Republic Road for a disorderly conduct call for service.

When officers arrived on location they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. This victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Another subject on location is now in custody.

Multiple officers have been called in to assist with the ongoing investigation. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are still interviewing witnesses and this investigation is in early stages.
