Report: Home Sales Up in Charlottesville Area

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -

New data shows the housing market in the area Charlottesville is looking up.

The Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors released new info Wednesday, October 19. According their data, home sales rose almost 21 percent compared to the same time last year. That's the highest since 2007.

The report says houses are on the market for a median of 36 days, which is 8 days less than the same time last year.

Home prices in the greater Charlottesville area have remained steady at about $273,000.
