Charlottesville Police Make Second Arrest in Connection to Infant Death
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -
Charlottesville police have made a second arrest in connection with the death of an infant.
NBC29 has learned police arrested Karen Monique Barnes Tuesday. Barnes faces one felony charge of child endangerment and neglect.
In August, officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Garrett Street for an unresponsive baby. Minutes after rescue personnel arrived, the baby was pronounced dead.
After the death, police arrested 29-year-old Marchella Jamar Alexander in connection with the case. Barnes is scheduled to have a bond hearing Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in juvenile and domestic relations court.
