CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -

The Virginia Film Festival has released program details for this year's event.

Organizers say film buffs can expect more than 120 films over four days. The festival held a press conference Tuesday afternoon at the Jefferson Theater on the Downtown Mall.

Internationally-renowned film legends including Shirley Maclaine, filmmaker Werner Herzog, and actor-director Liv Ullmann will kick off a conversation series.

"Here at the Virginia Film Festival, that's really what we're all about.  We have these incredible discussions with filmmakers and experts that talk about what the films are about and the latest films out there in the festival world so it's an incredible experience for all of us," said Jody Kielbasa, the Virginia Film Festival director.

The 29th annual festival runs from November 3-6. Tickets go on sale September 30.
