CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -

A Charlottesville company is aiming to get more people outside this summer with a new game: archery tag.

It's a high energy game as players gear up with face masks and bows. But, the arrows have foam tips, so you won't get hurt too badly.

The company, known as Charlottesville Archery Tag, launched last week, but says it's already had a lot of great feedback.

“This would be dodgeball meets archery, so any way you think of dodgeball, you'll be out there shooting arrows at each other, catching them, knocking down targets and hiding around bunkers, so the adrenaline gets really going,” Shack Shelley of Charlottesville Archery Tag said.

Archery tag is mobile, so the company will bring all the supplies and set up wherever your group wants to play. They'll also have an open play night Friday, July 15, at 8:30 at Own Touch Charlottesville
