CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -
Zoom Indoor Cycling Studio in Charlottesville is using its bikes to benefit the OneOrlando Fund.
Sunday, June 26, marks two weeks since the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando. Authorities say gunman Omar Mateen killed 49 people and injured dozens more at Pulse.
Zoom hopes to show support for the LGBTQ community in the form of a pride ride this coming Sunday. The class will feature a lot of upbeat songs and a rainbow light wall will illuminate the room during various parts of the ride.
“That's one thing that everybody always says is, just support is really important. So one thing is really just to show support on a local level, and also obviously the money is being put to good use in Orlando so that's a nice benefit as well ,” said Justin Goodman with Zoom Indoor Cycling Studio.
The discounted class costs $15 per person and all profits will go to the OneOrlando Fund, which supports victims and their and their families.
