A cider maker in Free Union, Virginia, is teaming up with Charlottesville’s day shelter, the Haven, to benefit the area's homeless.

Potter's Craft Cider and the Haven created an original cider blend, appropriately called "The Haven."

The pair showed off the Belgian-style cider at its release party Saturday at the IX Art Park in Charlottesville.

The idea is to raise awareness about the Haven's mission. Plus, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the shelter.

"So, we're super excited to put our passion, purpose as cider makers in to a social mission to raise funds and awareness for the Haven," Tim Edmond, co-owner of Potter’s Craft Cider, said.

If you'd like to try to the fig-coriander blend, The Haven cider will be available for purchase through Potter's.
