Boy scouts on a hike around Charlottesville are helping clean-up their community along the way.

Scoutmaster Jeff Monroe led fifteen boy scouts from troop 128 on a hike of the entire Rivanna Trail Sunday. He also put the scouts to work picking up litter along the trail.

"We've been walking around, we've been doing a 20 mile hike around Rivanna Trail, this is our fourth year doing it, we also do, a couple of competitions, we have some people that have done it like, four years in a row," John Shelton, Troop 128.

The scouts will have their names added to the troop's Rivanna Trail honor roll which recognizes each scout who completes the 20 mile trek.
