CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -

Saint Anne's-Belfield senior forward Javin DeLaurier has verbally committed to play basketball at Duke University.

The 6-foot-9 forward is listed as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com.

He averaged 21.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game for STAB last season, helping lead the Saints to the quarterfinals of the state tournament.

DeLaurier played in the NBPA Top 100 Camp in each of the last two summers, and is ranked as the 44th best prospect in the nation in ESPN's Top 100.

He chose the defending national champion Blue Devils over offers from schools like North Carolina, Notre Dame, Arizona, Texas, and Stanford.

"It's the best fit for me on and off the floor," DeLaurier told ESPN.   "I love everything about it."
