AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - An Augusta County water study is done and available to the public.

Dominion's proposed natural gas pipeline runs right through Augusta Co., which happens to be where a lot of water originates. As a result, the board of supervisors requested a water study.

The report estimates 273-million gallons of water flow out of the county every year. The study names several risks to groundwater and surface water posed by constructing a pipeline.

Supervisors intend to give the study to FERC when they come to Augusta for a public hearing, which has yet to be scheduled.
