CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -

Today at UVa's football press conference, head coach Mike London said both Greyson Lambert, and Matt Johns will both play Saturday against Richmond.

"The good thing for us is we have two players that have demonstrated the performance that can help us win football games. One of em just played here recently. That showed he can compete at a high level, and perform and execute. Right now there is no answer to that. I mean you saw the depth chart today. As I said, we'll make the decision on Saturday as to who will be the starter."

London says both Lambert, and Johns will receive first team reps during practice, and that he will decide the starter later in the week.

Lambert completed 16-of-23 passes, but all of his completions were short passes that didn't travel more than 15-yards in the air.

Matt johns, a redshirt sophomore, relieved lambert, and immediately threw a 32-yard completion on his first college career throw.

Moments later johns threw a 29-yard touchdown to Andre Levroni.

Johns also threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Darius Jennings later in the game.

He completed 13-of-22 passes.

Two touchdowns, and no interceptions.

On top of that Johns showed a little mobility avoiding the pass rush.

Senior running back Kevin Parks says he will rally behind whoever is the starter.

"I talk to all my guys. You know not just Greyson but you know if they're feeling down, and stuff like that so. I always encourage my guys to do good and go out there, and play hard. Next play mentality. We don't get down. We just keep playing. Keep fighting, and that all goes back to the unity thing."
