A fire under an RV shut down eastbound lanes on the I-64 for a little while Sunday afternoon, causing about a three mile backup.

The driver of the RV was the only person inside when the vehicle caught fire near milemarker 124 in Albemarle County. Virginia State Police says the driver is being treated for severe burns at the University of Virginia Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Police say it looks like a mechanical problem sparked the fire underneath the driver's side of the vehicle.
