The UVa women's soccer team won their home opener 3-0 over Marshall Friday night.

Virginia has won 19 straight games at Klockner stadium, a school record.

Juniors Makenzy Doniak and Kaili Torres, and sophomore Alexis Shaffer scored for Virginia.

Senior Morgan Brian earned two assists.

As a team, the Cavaliers out shot The Herd 26-1 and had a 9-1 corner kick advantage.

Torres was pleased with how the team performed at home in their first game of the season.

"I think we definitely looked good. I thought we showed potential. I think we definitely put more together in the second half. But it was just so much fun to be out in front of the home crowd at Klockner. Always love it. Always enjoy it. Never take it for granted."

UVa is back in action on August 29th as they host Richmond at 5:30pm.
