Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force Press Release
On Thursday, August 14, 2014 the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force, in conjunction with the Orange County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Berry Run Rd in Orange County Virginia. Law enforcement had previously obtained information that the resident there, Paul Stoner, was involved in the distribution of marijuana to juveniles. During the search warrant Law enforcement officials located an outdoor marijuana grow near the residence of Paul Stoner.
Investigators seized from the property, marijuana plants, loose marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription medication, needles, spoons, item's related to illegal narcotics use and multiple firearms. The street value of the Marijuana plants seized is $10,500.
At this time Paul Scott Stoner, 42 years of age has been charged with manufacturing Marijuana, and possession of a firearm while in possession of more than a pound of Marijuana. This investigation is still ongoing and further charges are pending. The Department of Social Services is also involved in the investigation.
The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force is Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force responsible for narcotic and gang investigations in the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Madison, Orange and the towns of Culpeper and Orange. It is comprised on Detectives and Investigators from the aforementioned Sheriff's Offices, Town Police Departments and Special Agents from the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Drug Enforcement Section.
Anyone with information of individuals manufacturing Marijuana and/or possessing any illegal narcotic is encouraged to contact the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force.
