Staunton Stabbing Victim Faces Child Sex Charge, Drug Charge

Posted: Updated:

The victim of a stabbing in Staunton is facing some serious charges.

Just days after 19-year-old Alex Kolland left the hospital, he turned himself in to Augusta County sheriff's deputies. Kolland now faces three charges, stemming from a party in May: indecent liberties with a child, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and distributing drugs to a minor.

Kolland is accused of inappropriately touching an underage girl at gathering in Augusta County where there was underage drinking and drug use. After he was indicted and turned himself in, Kolland was released on bond.

He spent all last week at the University of Virginia Medical Center after being stabbed numerous times in the early-morning hours of August 2. Sebastian Underwood, 21, is being held without bond in connection to the stabbing. Kolland says Underwood, who is his friend, was on LSD at the time.

Kolland will be back in Augusta County Circuit Court for his charges September 8 at 9 a.m.
