‘A Summer Night’s Cause for Paws’ to Benefit Augusta SPCA

Posted: Updated:

The Augusta Regional SPCA is offering a night of fun this Friday, all for a good cause.

A Summer Night's Cause for Paws will take place Friday night at the Best Western in Waynesboro. The annual fundraiser supports the SPCA in its mission of rescuing animals. A dance band called the Janitors is slated to perform and the event will include drinks, food and a silent auction.

"We have a condo at Florida for a week. We've got a weekend stay at Green Briar. This is the only time of the year that we really go out into the community and ask for donation of items for the silent auction and it's our major fundraiser, so it's very important that it's successful,” said Debbie Caywood, director of the Augusta Regional SPCA.

Tickets are $40 apiece but you need to call by 11 a.m. Friday to get your name on the guest list.
