The construction fence surrounding the University of Virginia’s Rotunda restoration project is expanding outward.
Crews are setting up more fencing on the northwest side of the Rotunda out toward University Avenue and over by the chapel.
The university says it needs to enclose the area to install a new storm water line.
The fence will block two busy brick pedestrian walkways. Temporary paved paths will redirect people walking or biking through that part of UVA during the work.
