Posted: Updated:

A Waynesboro woman is behind bars Saturday accused of making fake money.

Waynesboro police say 25 year old Ashley Wells was using a canon printer and paper to make counterfeit 10 and 20 dollar bills.

A clerk at the Family Dollar store on West Broad Street called police after Wells allegedly tried to pay with one of those fake bills late last month.

Wells faces three felony charges related to the counterfeit money. She's being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
