Staunton’s Economic Development Director to Retire

STAUNTON, Va. (WVIR) -

Staunton's economic development director is leaving. After 26 years working for the city, Bill Hamilton is retiring.

Hamilton was instrumental in a range of projects such as the American Shakespeare Center, the Stonewall Jackson Hotel, the Villages at Staunton, and - most recently - Western State Hospital.

The search for a replacement will begin immediately.
