The home sales numbers for the second quarter of 2014 in Charlottesville has CAAR President John Ince optimistic about sales rates for the year.
CAAR reports that 856 homes were sold in the greater Charlottesville area during the second quarter of this year. That results in a five percent growth from last year and up from 426 homes sold in the first three months of 2014.
The figures also show a 13 percent gain in median sales price and a rapid 11 percent decrease in days houses spent on the market since the start of the year.
Ince says the second quarter sales shows healthy growth in nearly every market segment for this quarter.
