CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -

Fairview heads to Crozet Wednesday for their last meet of the season. Both the Sea Horses and Gators are undefeated in the Jefferson Swim League as they prepare for their final event before the Championships.

JJ Bean, Fairview's head coach said, "We're excited that we get to go swim against someone as great as Crozet. They have great swimmers in every age group. Its divided up into twelve age groups and they have great swimmers in every age group."

Fairview is approaching this meet just like any meet as swim coach CJ Trachta explains. "I have them run through the same stuff they're familiar with so we can really build up the muscle memory, get the good habits but we usually do a few more turns and dives just a day or two beforehand. Just to brush up on that stuff and get them in the mind set."

Both teams are familiar with the other according to Bean, "In a meet like this, you know on each team who the great swimmers are in each different event, so you try to match those up.  That way its a show case of great swimmers meeting up against each other."

Fairview is excited for their meet with Crozet, as they get another chance against the team that ended their 22-year long JSL Championship winning streak.

Matt Mchugh, a swimmer on the team, talked about racing against Crozet on Wednesday, "This is a really big meet. We're really excited to race the team that beat us in the JSL champions last year. We really just want to do our best and see what we can do against a great team."

Hogan Harper was also excited for the meet, "I think its going to be a lot of fun. Crozet showed us that they're a real team. They're really something. Last year at champs, they showed us something that we haven't seen in 24 years.  I think it will be fun to see if we've gotten it back together, so we can compete as well as i hope we can."
