Virginia junior Mike Papi has signed with the Cleveland Indians.
The outfielder/first baseman was a first round draft pick in last month's MLB draft, and was selected 38th overall.
Papi will receive a signing bonus of $1.25 million, as well as a thirty-thousand dollar scholarship to finish his education.
Papi batted .307 with a team leading eleven home runs for Virginia this season.
He scored 55 runs and drove in 56 in 69 games.
Papi was named First-Team All-ACC in each of his last two seasons.
He is the last of UVa's six drafted juniors to sign.
Only seniors Artie Lewicki and Whit Mayberry remain, and they were both drafted by the Tigers.
The final day to sign is July 18th.
