On Tuesday, July 1st, a Charlottesville resident was arrested by the Charlottesville Police Department for two outstanding warrants in Albemarle County.
Daniel Lee Bishop, 50 years old, was arrested and charged with two counts of masturbation, actual or simulated, in a public place. The incidents happened on June 14th and June 24th at a public lake and an apartment complex pool. The charges are Class 1 Misdemeanors and Bishop was released from the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail on bond.
This is concerning behavior and the ACPD asks citizens to call the police department (296-5807) or 911 to report a crime if they see someone engaging in behavior like this in a public place.
