Little libraries will soon be popping up around Staunton. It’s a project of hOUR Economy, a time bank where goods and services are exchanged without money.
Two little libraries are nearly finished. The first will be in downtown's Wharf.
The concept is simple: you can give and take as you please.
"This is a lending library, so you don't have to have any cards or you don't have to feel obligated to bring it back at any certain time, so you can take whatever book you'd like. Or if you have books at home that you want to impart onto somebody else then you can put them in the library,” said Colin Butgereit, an organizer of the little libraries.
