Senator Kaine Makes Stops in Albemarle, Shenandoah Valley
Senator Tim Kaine passed through Albemarle County and Augusta County Tuesday.
He started his day at the Rivanna Station on the grounds of the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). Kaine took a tour of the facility, which is of big interest to him since he serves on the Armed Forces Committee in Congress.
After the tour, he talked about how important the Rivanna Station has become to central Virginia and the military.
"The Charlottesville region, this Rivanna Station intelligence mission has grown in size, but maybe more in significance in importance since the early 1990s and it's become a big part of this area's economy,” said Kaine.
After his stop in Albemarle County, it was on to the Shenandoah Valley for Senator Kaine. He toured the Valley Career and Technical Center in Fishersville.
