Overturned Car Causes Delays on Rt. 29 in Albemarle
Traffic on Route 29
Two people are recovering after their car overturned after being hit by a car-carrier Tuesday morning on Route 29 in Albemarle County.
The accident backed up traffic in both directions on Route 29, just north of the Rivanna Bridge. A section of Route 29 southbound was closed for about 45 minutes, and police had to block off Route 29 northbound at one point to re-route traffic.
The car's passengers were taken to UVA Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck is charged with making an improper lane change.
