Fluvanna School Board Appoints Brad Stang as Principal of Fluvanna MS

Fluvanna Middle School has a new principal. The Fluvanna County School Board appointed Brad Stang to the post in a meeting Monday.

Stang spent 10 years teaching middle school in Orlando and Richmond, and spent six years as an assistant principal at middle schools in Hanover.

Stang will officially take over on July 9.

On June 30, the Fluvanna County School Board had a called meeting where they appointed Mr. Brad Stang as Principal of Fluvanna Middle School.

Mr. Stang is originally from Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Central Florida and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Stang taught middle school history in Orlando, Florida, for four years and in Richmond, Virginia, for six years. He has served as a middle school assistant principal in Hanover for two years at Chickahominy Middle School and for five years at Liberty Middle School.

Mr. Stang is married and the father of twin three-year-olds, a boy and a girl. He is very involved in his church and enjoys socializing with family and friends. When possible, he likes to enjoy some time on the golf course.

“I am honored and blessed to be a part of this school division and excited to be working at Fluvanna Middle School. I am looking forward to working with the staff and the community to help students achieve their best academically and socially. Together we will strengthen our community,” said Brad Stang.

Mr. Stang will officially begin work on Wednesday, July 9. He is looking forward to getting the opportunity to meet with teachers, parents, and students.
