The Charlottesville Albemarle Airport is helping airport patrons get around easier - but this time, on the ground.
A new courtesy parking shuttle will carry passengers to the terminal from long-term and short-term parking. The shuttle will operate daily and transport up to 13 passengers at a time.
Airport officials say it will benefit users most during peak travel seasons, parking lot construction, and inclement weather.
"We think that having a shuttle, especially when you come out of that plane and it's raining sideways, it'd be really nice to have something that can take you to your car,” said Jason Burch, air service and marketing at CHO.
This is the first full-time free parking shuttle the airport has had for passengers. The shuttle service will begin Saturday.
