Former UVa basketball star Joe Harris was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the third pick in the second round of the NBA Draft Thursday night.
Harris follows former teammate Mike Scott into the league.
The 'Regional Manager' Mike Scott was a second round selection of the Atlanta Hawks in 2012.
Joe Harris averaged 12 points per game and earned All-ACC Second Team honors this past season.
He was named the ACC Tournament Most Valuable Player after averaging 15.7 points in wins against Florida State, Pittsburgh and Duke.
Harris finished his Virginia career ranked 11th on Virginia's all-time scoring list with 1,698 points. and second all-time in 3-point percentage (40.7%) and 3-pointers (263).
The Virginia Cavaliers tied the school-record with 30 wins in the 2013-2014 season, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1995.
